Federal Government

The Federal Government of the United States is the national government, consisting of three branches: the legislative, executive, and judicial branches. The legislative branch is responsible for making laws, the executive branch for enforcing laws, and the judicial branch for interpreting laws. The President is the head of the executive branch, which includes numerous federal agencies such as the Department of State, Department of Health and Human Services, and the Department of Defense. Together, these agencies and departments represent the largest entity in the United States and are responsible for the guiding of the country and the administration of various services to its citizens.
