SAG-AFTRA is a labor union representing professional actors, performers, and media professionals in the United States. It was formed in 2012 after the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (AFTRA) merged. The union represents more than 160,000 members in various fields including actors, broadcasters, voiceover artists, singers, and dancers. SAG-AFTRA negotiates and enforces collective bargaining agreements on behalf of its members, provides career and professional development resources, and advocates for the rights and protections of its members in the entertainment industry. The union is headquartered in Los Angeles, California, with additional offices across the United States.
