Sikorsky Aircraft is an American aerospace manufacturer and subsidiary of Lockheed Martin. Founded in 1923 by Igor Sikorsky, it is best known for its production of military and commercial helicopters, including the Black Hawk and Seahawk. The company also produces fixed-wing aircraft, including the S-70B Firehawk, and provides maintenance and repair services. In recent years, Sikorsky has focused on developing advanced rotorcraft technologies, including autonomous and optionally piloted aircraft.
