Responsibilities

REI is looking for an experienced Account Manager to own client delivery and people management and to support growth for the DOW. As an Account Manager, you will bring a deep understanding of the Account’s mission and be excited about helping the client achieve their objectives. You will work closely with an Account Business Development Director and an Account Architect to drive new business and organic growth. You will serve as a mentor for emerging leaders in the account and contribute to acquiring, retaining and nurturing talent. In this role, you will be a key contributor in shaping and executing REI’s strategy to meet our corporate goals. 

 

The candidate will manage delivery and growth across a Department of Workforce (DOW) portfolio of existing programs while identifying and pursuing opportunities with new customers within the account. Serve as the primary client relationship manager, building and maintaining strong partnerships, leading diverse teams, and fostering innovation to support business objectives. Drive organic and new business growth through capture management and proposal development in collaboration with corporate resources for significant opportunities. Ensure the successful delivery of existing programs, expanding the account footprint while maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction, user adoption, and perceived value as measured through customer assessments. Oversee compliance with contractual requirements, achieve delivery, growth, financial, and employee satisfaction goals, and develop a resilient, high-performing organization. Proactively identify and mitigate risks and issues, monitor the progress of multiple concurrent and highly visible projects, and implement or recommend corrective actions as needed to ensure successful outcomes.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in the IT field, with at least 6 years of managing multiple cross-disciplinary IT teams on large complex, programs
  • Demonstrated ability to monitor all dimensions of a business
  • Deep understanding of the Federal marketplace with at least 5 years of experience in one or more of the component organizations with GSA
  • Demonstrated track record of successfully delivering high visibility, challenging projects
  • Excellent time management and ability to juggle multiple tasks under strict deadlines
  • Ability to establish trusted relationships with Government POC’s and partners
  • Exposure responding to government solicitation through RFP’s and RFI’s
  • Ability to work in a multi-vendor environment
  • Outstanding verbal and written skills
  • Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain government security clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in business, computer science or related field
  • Proven experience in Program Management

Education: Bachelor’s degree in relevant field. A master’s degree in business, public administration, public policy, or relevant field (preferred).  

Clearance: Due to federal contract requirements, U.S. citizenship is required. Candidate must be able to obtain a Public Trust. 

Location: Hybrid (1 Day per week in our Sterling, VA HQ)
