The Plot Thickens: Job Description

Client & Project Management

  • Serve as a key day-to-day client contact, managing relationships through proactive communication and problem solving.
  • Lead assigned account workstreams and ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and with high quality.
  • Support project management across timelines, deliverables, budgets and stakeholder expectations, including budget tracking, quotation preparation, invoice management and forecasting.
  • Drive internal coordination and collaborate effectively with cross-functional, cross-market teams and external vendors to ensure smooth account operations and project delivery.
  • Contribute to communication planning and provide strategic recommendations based on industry trends, market insights and client objectives.

Content Development & Quality Control

  • Develop or review high-quality PR content, including press releases, bylined articles, messaging documents, briefing books, media Q&As, pitches, reports and presentations.
  • Review work produced by junior team members and provide constructive feedback to ensure consistently high-quality deliverables.

Media Relations

  • Build, maintain and leverage relationships with business, technology, trade and industry media.
  • Lead media engagement activities including media outreach, interview coordination, briefing management and follow-ups.
  • Identify media opportunities and provide recommendations aligned with client objectives.

Financial & Operational Management

  • Support account financial management through budget tracking, quotation preparation, invoice management and forecasting.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to ensure projects are delivered efficiently and within budget.

Team Collaboration & Development

  • Provide day-to-day guidance and coaching to junior team members and interns.
  • Foster a collaborative, accountable and supportive team environment.
  • Support team development through mentoring, knowledge sharing and constructive feedback.

  • Experienced in leading projects or coordinating small teams, with the potential to take on broader management responsibilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communicator in both English and Chinese.


The Hero's Background: Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Business, Marketing or a related field.
  • 4–6 years of experience in corporate communications, B2B technology PR or integrated communications, preferably within an agency environment.
  • Proven experience supporting or managing enterprise technology, industrial technology, semiconductor, cloud, infrastructure, AI, cybersecurity, storage, manufacturing or related B2B accounts.
  • Strong understanding of corporate communications, executive visibility, thought leadership and media relations programs.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently manage projects and contribute strategic communications recommendations.
  • Experience working with regional and global stakeholders is highly preferred.
  • Experience mentoring junior team members and reviewing account deliverables is preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese are highly preferred.
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Good understanding of the media landscape. Existing relationships with business, technology or industry media are a plus.
