Job Description
Your missions:
Management of customers’ inbound and outbound cargo files, as well as the commercial relationship with the customer. The Account Manager serves as the single logistics point of contact for the customer, with a focus on providing a comprehensive range of services.Â

Your responsibilities:
- Management of inbound and outbound goods flows using the available software systemsÂ
- Communication with agents, shipping lines, and transport operatorsÂ
- Reporting all actions taken to the customerÂ
- Stock follow-up, registration, and confirmation of purchases and sales carried out by the customerÂ
- Placing orders with transport providers and operational departmentsÂ
- Issuing orders for the preparation of customs documents; independently preparing basic customs documentsÂ
- Preparation of specific certificatesÂ
- Issuing orders for sampling requests and sample shipmentsÂ
- Invoicing and reporting related to invoicingÂ
- Optimisation of processesÂ

Additional activities:
In addition to the specific responsibilities, the Account Manager is also responsible for carrying out the following activities. These additional responsibilities apply only after acquiring the necessary years of experience and knowledge, or after completing the required training programme.Â
- Acting as the commercial point of contact for the customer, including periodic customer meetings and day-to-day communication; maintaining relationships and business with existing customersÂ
- Preparing and developing pricing structures, including the associated annual price negotiationsÂ
- Maintaining and setting up pricing schedules in Business CentralÂ
- Expanding existing business with current customersÂ
- Internally developing new business opportunities for existing customersÂ
- Discussing commercial issues with the Product ManagerÂ
- Handling and following up on complaints and disputesÂ
- Monitoring customers’ DSO (Days Sales Outstanding)Â

Qualifications
Your profile:
Specific RequirementsÂ
- Product knowledge of soft commodities such as coffee, cocoa, nuts, etc.Â
- Knowledge of working methods for organic products and awareness of food safetyÂ
- Knowledge of LIFFE files and NYBOT (ICE) filesÂ
Â
SkillsÂ
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent through experienceÂ
- Knowledge of Dutch and English; additional languages are an assetÂ
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and communication tools (email, telephone, internet, etc.)Â
- Knowledge of specific MBN software, including Business CentralÂ
