About the role

Navitas is looking for an energetic and student-focused Team Leader to lead our Admissions team and drive excellence across the admissions function. This exciting leadership opportunity is ideal for a motivated professional with strong communication, people management, and organisational skills, who is passionate about delivering exceptional student experiences. The role is responsible for overseeing day-to-day admissions operations, mentoring and developing team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to ensure an efficient, accurate, and student-focused admissions process.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Team Leadership & Development:

  • Inspire, lead, and develop a high-performing team of Admissions Officers, driving excellence in service delivery and achievement of KPIs.
  • Foster a collaborative, student-focused culture through regular coaching, mentoring, performance reviews, and professional development.
  • Optimise workload allocation, prioritisation, and resource planning to maximise team productivity, efficiency, and service standards.


2. Admissions Process Oversight

  • Lead the end-to-end admissions process for international students, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and exceptional turnaround times.
  • Act as a key escalation point, building strong relationships with students, agents, and internal stakeholders to deliver outstanding support and resolve complex cases.
  • Champion best practice by implementing policies, procedures, and process enhancements while ensuring adherence to regulatory and institutional requirements.


3. Operational Excellence & Improvement:

  • Leverage admissions data and reporting to identify trends, mitigate risks, and drive informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Lead and contribute to strategic initiatives, system enhancements, and audit activities that streamline operations, improve efficiency, and elevate the student experience.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven success in a leadership or senior admissions role, with experience leading teams in a fast-paced, service-driven environment.
  • Strong knowledge of international education systems, admissions processes, and student lifecycle management.
  • Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across diverse audiences.
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire, coach, and develop high-performing teams while consistently achieving targets and service standards.
  • Proficiency in admissions management systems, CRM platforms, and data analysis tools, with the ability to translate insights into action.
  • Proactive, solutions-focused, and highly organized, with a passion for continuous improvement, operational excellence, and delivering outstanding student experiences.
