About this role

We are seeking an experienced AI Developer (m/f/d) to support the development, enhancement, and operation of AI-driven applications. The role has a strong DevOps focus, including maintaining and optimizing existing systems as well as implementing high-performance backend services. The environment consists of API-based AI services, microservices, and the associated infrastructure, including automated CI/CD processes.


Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and enhance REST-based AI services
  • Implement backend functionalities using Python
  • Develop, integrate, and maintain microservices
  • Connect external systems and various data sources
  • Ensure code quality through automated testing and code reviews
  • Containerize applications using Docker or Podman
  • Build, enhance, and maintain Jenkins-based CI/CD pipelines
  • Deploy and operate applications on OpenShift and Kubernetes platforms
  • Automate build, test, and release processes
  • Analyze and troubleshoot issues across multiple system components
  • Evaluate log data and monitor application runtime behavior
  • Ensure maintainability, scalability, and performance of applications
  • Collaborate closely with development, infrastructure, and frontend teams
  • Contribute to architecture, design, and technology decisions
  • Create technical documentation in Confluence
  • Estimate effort and plan/implement tasks in Jira



Requirements
Must-Have

  • Excellent written and spoken English skills
  • Strong experience in software development with Python
  • Experience designing and implementing REST APIs
  • Hands-on experience with Docker or Podman
  • Proficient with Git
  • Experience working with Jenkins-based CI/CD pipelines


Nice-to-Have

    • German language skills
    • Experience with Bash scripting
    • Knowledge of OpenShift and/or Kubernetes
    • Experience with GitLab CI/CD
    • Experience with FastAPI
    • Experience with microservice architectures
    • Basic knowledge of Kafka
    • Basic knowledge of Redis
