GlobeMed Group (the largest Healthcare Benefits Management company in the MENA region) is looking for an AI Platform Engineer who will be responsible for designing, building, deploying, and maintaining the infrastructure, platforms, and applications that support the organization's AI initiatives. The role focuses on developing AI-enabled solutions, AI agents, and Model Context Protocols (MCPs), while ensuring scalable, secure, and reliable deployment environments. The AI Platform Engineer works closely with the AI Transformation team, business stakeholders, and ICT teams to deliver innovative AI solutions that drive operational efficiency and business value.

Duties & Responsibilities:

A. AI Platform & Infrastructure Management

• Build, configure, and maintain AI development, testing, and production environments.
• Manage AI infrastructure components to ensure scalability, performance, reliability, and security.
• Support the deployment and operation of AI models, services, and applications across cloud and on-premises environments.
• Monitor platform performance and implement improvements to optimize availability and efficiency.
• Troubleshoot infrastructure, deployment, and integration issues related to AI solutions.

B. AI Solutions Development

• Design and develop AI-powered applications, tools, and services to support business requirements.
• Build and maintain AI agents, MCPs (Model Context Protocols), and workflow automation solutions.
• Integrate Large Language Models (LLMs) and other AI technologies into enterprise applications.
• Develop APIs and backend services to support AI capabilities and system integrations.
• Contribute to the evaluation and adoption of emerging AI technologies and frameworks.

C. Full-Stack Application Development

• Develop and maintain front-end interfaces for AI-powered applications and platforms.
• Design and implement scalable backend services, APIs, and integration components.
• Ensure applications are secure, maintainable, and aligned with development standards.
• Participate in application testing, debugging, performance tuning, and optimization activities.

D. Cloud & DevOps Operations

• Deploy and manage AI applications and services on Microsoft Azure.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation for AI and software development projects.
• Manage cloud resources and environments to ensure efficient utilization and cost optimization.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and operational support processes for deployed solutions.
• Ensure adherence to security, governance, and infrastructure best practices.

E. Collaboration & Innovation

• Collaborate with AI engineers, data scientists, software developers, and business stakeholders to deliver AI initiatives.
• Participate in solution design sessions and contribute technical recommendations.
• Document technical architectures, deployment procedures, and development standards.
• Stay current with advances in AI, cloud technologies, development frameworks, and industry best practices.
• Support experimentation, prototyping, and innovation activities within the AI Transformation Department.

Qualifications

Education:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.

Experience/Knowledge:

• 3–5 years of experience in software engineering, platform engineering, AI engineering, or related technical roles.
• Experience building and deploying applications in cloud environments, preferably Microsoft Azure.
• Hands-on experience developing AI-enabled applications, AI agents, and MCP-based solutions.
• Strong knowledge of modern AI frameworks, tools, and LLM ecosystems.
• Experience with API development, system integrations, and microservices architecture.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies and deployment automation tools is an advantage.
• Experience working with Linux environments is preferred.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in front-end and back-end development technologies.
• Strong programming skills in languages such as Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or similar.
• Experience with Azure services, cloud deployment, and infrastructure management.
• Knowledge of REST APIs, databases, authentication mechanisms, and application security.
• Understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and version control systems.
