A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

• Performers a variety of import/export duties that include processing papers necessary to facilitate shipments between international locations.
• Administers the efficient and economical movement of goods in accordance with organizational policies.
• Prepares reviews, approves and maintains files for import/export documents required for the lawful completion of import/export activities.
• Serves as an import/export liaison for international customers/subsidiaries, distribution, procurement, planning, manufacturing, intercompany finance, regulatory and import/export compliance functions.
• Plans, schedules and routes imports and exports, including monitoring the flow of traffic to/from foreign destinations, ensuring related customer service, brokerage and customs transaction compliance.

SPECIALIST CAREER STREAM: Typically an individual contributor with responsibility in a professional discipline or specialty. Delivers and/or manages projects assigned and works with other stakeholders to achieve desired results. May act as a mentor to colleagues or may direct the work of other lower level professionals. The majority of time is spent delivering and overseeing the projects – from design to implementation - while and adhering to policies, using specialized knowledge and skills normally acquired through advanced education.

Required Knowledge and Experience: Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in International Trade, International Business, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
• 3 to 4 years of experience in foreign trade operations under IMMEX and Customs Compliance.
• Advanced English proficiency.
• Experience in MX customs entry closure, tariff classification, and foreign trade documentation.
• Experience in Project Management, foreign trade audits or regulatory compliance is a plus.
• Knowledge of: MVE, CIVA, SENER Permits, Automatic Import Notice for Steel Products, (Annex 24 and Annex 30); V1, F4, F5 pedimentos; FDA regulations and COFEPRIS permits.
