Job Description

We are looking for an Application Support Analyst to join a dynamic IT team supporting critical applications within the Payment Processing domain. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring platform stability, incident resolution, process improvement, and business continuity while working closely with business stakeholders and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide application support for business-critical payment processing platforms and services.
• Understand business workflows, operational processes, and user requirements to deliver effective support.
• Ensure proper coverage during assigned shifts and participate in support rotations as required.
• Manage and prioritize incidents, requests, and tasks received through ticketing systems, email, or direct communication.
• Communicate progress, updates, and resolutions to business users, team members, and relevant stakeholders.
• Document incidents, procedures, solutions, and best practices to support knowledge sharing and operational excellence.
• Collaborate with team members to transfer knowledge and improve overall platform coverage and support capabilities.
• Identify root causes of recurring issues and contribute to long-term solutions and process improvements.
• Develop scripts and automation solutions to optimize operational and repetitive tasks.
• Analyze application releases, patches, and fixes, understanding their impact on production environments.
• Participate in on-call, weekend, and public holiday support rotations when required by business needs.

Qualifications

• Strong Oracle SQL knowledge.
• Experience supporting applications in Linux/Unix and Windows environments.
• Good scripting capabilities (Shell, Bash, Python, or similar).
• Understanding of networking concepts and troubleshooting.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Unix administration knowledge.
• ITIL framework understanding and experience with incident/problem management processes.
• Experience with Ansible and DevOps practices.
• Experience with monitoring, automation, and production support tools.

Languages

• English: Professional/Fluent level (written and spoken).
