Overview
The Ambulatory Surgery Center RN is a professional caregiver who assumes responsibility and accountability for a group of patients for a designated time frame and provides care to these patients via therapeutic use of self, the nursing process, the therapeutic environments, treatment and modalities and interdisciplinary collaboration.
Responsibilities
Applies appropriate theory as a basis for decisions regarding nursing practice. Perform initial physiological and psychosocial needs assessment on all patients within 30 minutes of admissions and shift assessment within (2) hours of coming on duty. Communicates appropriate data to the physician and other patient care team members. Collaborates with other discipline to plan and coordinate care.
Qualifications
Current California RN License. Current Basic Life Support Level C (Healthcare Provider) and ACLS certification. Two years of acute care experience preferred.
