BLACKRIVER ASSEMBLY LEAD

Schedule: Monday-Thursday 5am-3:30pm Some Friday's as overtime

Summit Products is seeking a dedicated and experienced Manufacturing Lead to oversee our Assembly operations. This role is essential for ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards while maintaining efficiency and productivity within our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in assembly processes, an eye for detail, and the ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Assembly Operations: Supervise and mentor a team of assembly workers, providing guidance and support to ensure that all products are assembled accurately and efficiently.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement and monitor quality control measures throughout the assembly process, ensuring that all finished products meet company standards and customer specifications.
  • Blueprint Interpretation: Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to provide clear instructions to the assembly team, ensuring proper assembly of components.
  • Tool Proficiency: Utilize hand tools and equipment safely and effectively in the manufacturing process. Train team members on proper tool usage and maintenance.
  • Process Improvement: Identify areas for process improvements and implement changes to enhance productivity and reduce waste, while ensuring quality is maintained.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other departments, such as engineering and supply chain, to ensure alignment on production schedules, material needs, and product requirements.
  • Safety Compliance: Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to all safety regulations and promoting best practices among team members.
  • Training and Development: Conduct training for new team members and ongoing skill development for existing staff to improve performance and safety in the assembly area.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in a manufacturing or assembly role, with a minimum of in a lead or supervisory position.
  • Strong understanding of assembly processes and techniques, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Proficient in the use of hand tools and machinery commonly used in manufacturing settings.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • Familiarity with quality assurance practices and standards in manufacturing.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification is a plus.
