Job Description

Responsibilities:

Turner & Townsend is looking for an Associate Director to join our Project Management team in Sydney. Th person who fills this position will primarily be responsible for supporting the Project Management Education Sector Lead in driving growth and profitability of the business unit through leadership, new business development, client management and service delivery. 

  • Support Education Sector Lead in the pursuit and management of service excellence across all commissions.
  • Manage multiple education projects in planning and delivery.
  • Lead and manage project review and reporting mechanisms; project financial management; change control and quality reporting.
  • Support education sector leadership and local capability build of current project leaders in the broader government team.
  • Establish relationships with key departmental and senior stakeholders / client representatives.
  • Manage project teams performance, compliance and expectations of resources and ensure knowledge transfer within the team.
  • Lead and manage large stakeholder groups focused on business outcomes.
  • Lead business development activities such as development of proposals, internal opportunity management, and thought leadership development.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • A recognised Degree or equivalent qualification relating to a technical field: Project Management, Architecture, Construction Management, Engineering, Cost Management 
  • 8 + years Project Management experience (consultancy or client side preferred)
  • Experience working within real estate industry sectors with particular expertise in Education
  • Ability to thrive in a high pressure, fast paced environment
  • Technical ability to lead and manage complex projects and programs as the key client interface
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, particularly a command of written and spoken English with excellent report and bid writing skills
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to lead and develop a team
  • Highly motivated and driven with a passion for delivering to your client.
