Summary of Job Duties:

The Associate MBA Director will report to the Director of MBA Programs. The primary job duty for this position is academic advising and curriculum management for both the full-time and Executive MBA program. This includes, but is not limited to, student advising, program/curriculum support, student retention, assisting with student recruitment, event coordination (e.g., orientation and graduation party), support of MBA strategic initiatives, problem-solving, proactive innovation for continuous improvement of the program, and other miscellaneous activities associated with the design and operation of the Full-time and Executive MBA programs.

Will require working occasional Saturdays and evenings, as needed. This position will also require travel.

Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.


Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree from an accredited institution of higher education

  • At least three years of experience advising students

  • Demonstrated record of building and maintaining positive working relationships with others

  • Demonstrated record of proactive problem-solving

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters degree from an accredited institution of higher education

  • At least three years of experience working with business professionals 

  • At least one year of experience working with business faculty 

  • Experience using course platforms such as Blackboard 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs):

  • Basic skills in Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint 

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills required

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills 

  • Demonstrated presentation skills (may be asked to present as part of interview process) 

  • Strong attention to detail 


Additional Information:

This position is renewable annually based on continued need for the position, availability of funding, and satisfactory job performance.
