Job Description

An exciting opportunity is available for an Associate Nurse Unit Manager (ANUM) to join the Cath Lab team at Epworth Eastern in Box Hill. Our Cath Lab specialises in diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures across cardiac, vascular and radiology services.

As the ANUM, you will play a key leadership role in supporting the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care. You will provide leadership, guidance and mentorship to the nursing team, while contributing to the effective management and ongoing development of the Cath Lab.

Working alongside a highly skilled multidisciplinary team, you will report directly to the Nurse Unit Manager and be an integral member of the collaborative Clinical Leadership team. This role offers the opportunity to influence clinical excellence, support staff development and contribute to continuous service improvement within a dynamic and patient-focused environment. 

Epworth Eastern is entering an exciting phase of growth, with a second cath lab opening soon to accommodate the increasing volume of structural heart procedures and further expand our interventional cardiology capabilities.

You will make an impact by:

  • Delivering exceptional patient experience and excellence in customer service
  • Role-modelling culture of safety & quality improvement
  • Mentor and support nurses in developing their clinical and leadership capabilities
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to drive innovation, optimise cath lab workflows, and support the continued expansion of structural heart services
  • Assist in daily activity management of the cath lab team
  • Play a key role in maintaining accreditation, clinical governance, and quality improvement initiatives

To be successful in the role you will have:

  • Demonstrated leadership skills or experience in a senior cath lab nursing role
  • Be an engaging leader who is committed to coaching, developing and supporting others in a collaborative team environment
  • Extensive cath lab experience with experience supporting structural heart procedures will be highly regarded
  • Excellent organisation and communication skills
  • Current nursing registration with AHPRA

The annual salary range for full time ANUM – AUD $120,595- $124,661 + super + entitlements, depending on registration type, year level and position (prorated for part-time).
