Compensation range: $22.62 - $24.72 per hour  

 

The base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions. Actual total compensation will be dependent upon the individual's skills, experience and qualifications.

Position Summary

Location: San Jose, CA (on-site)

Hours: Monday - Friday, Early Day Shift 5:30 am - 2:00 pm

 

The Asset Storage Tracking Specialist supports accurate and efficient warehouse and inventory operations by coordinating product receiving, inventory movement, tracking, and reporting. This role maintains the integrity of inventory data, coordinates incoming shipments and customer requests, and serves as a key resource for resolving inventory-related questions and discrepancies.

 

Working closely with Warehouse, Delivery, Installation, Project Management, Sales, and other internal teams, the Specialist ensures inventory information is accurate, timely, and accessible throughout the product lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Receiving & Inventory Management: Match receiving documentation, including packing lists, bills of lading, and invoices, to orders; audit for accuracy and completeness; and receive products into inventory using Hedberg software.
  • Inventory Accuracy & Control: Conduct and reconcile cycle counts and periodic inventories. Maintain accurate product locations, quantities, and status, and research and resolve inventory discrepancies and adjustments.
  • Data Integrity & Reporting: Audit warehouse transactions for accuracy, completeness, and timeliness. Generate inventory reports, monitor aging pre-sold inventory, and support productivity, quality, and operational reporting.
  • Logistics & Order Coordination: Schedule and coordinate incoming vendor shipments, manage inventory pull requests, and support the timely movement of products into and out of inventory.
  • Customer & Team Support: Monitor urgent requests and coordinate with Furniture Project Management, Sales, Delivery, Installation, and external customers to provide timely inventory information and fulfill client ticket requests.
  • Problem Resolution & Communication: Serve as a point of contact for inventory-related questions, investigate issues, and communicate solutions effectively. Proactively escalate operational concerns, questions, and training needs to supervisors.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Maintain strong working relationships with Operations leaders, Warehouse personnel, and internal departments to support efficient workflows, accurate inventory, and exceptional customer service.

 

Qualifications:

 

Education/Experience

High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or 2+ years previous experience in warehouse and/or inventory control operations; or equivalent combination of education and experience.  AA or BA degree is a plus.

 

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Must be assertive, flexible, and have a strong sense of urgency.
  • Requires strong organizational skills and self-motivation
  • Must be able to effectively solve problems and make decisions independently
  • Knowledge of Google Office systems with ability to learn internal system
  • Knowledge of basic warehouse functions helpful

 

Physical Requirements

  • Seeing, hearing, color perception, clear speech
  • Ability to move distances within the office and warehouse
  • If completing job tasks in the warehouse, must be able to consistently lift 50 to 75 pounds
  • Complex reading and writing
  • Ability to work mathematical calculations for reporting and keeping statistics

 

Working Environment

Regularly works alone and with others in person, over the phone and via email.  Generally works in an office environment around moderate noise.  Has daily interaction in the warehouse around loud noises and changing temperatures.
