Back of House/Facilities Assistant Cashel Palace Hotel, Co. Tipperary

Cashel Palace Hotel is a five-star luxury property with one Michelin Star and two Michelin Keys, set in the heart of Cashel, Co. Tipperary. We are seeking a Back of House/Facilities Assistant to help keep our historic property running smoothly, day in and day out.

The Role

Working closely with all departments in the hotel, you will support the general upkeep, maintenance, and presentation of the hotel's back-of-house areas, grounds, and equipment. This is a hands-on role suited to someone reliable, practical, and comfortable working independently.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out routine maintenance checks and minor repairs across the property
• Support all teams with equipment upkeep and stock management
• Assist with waste management, deliveries, and storage area organisation
• Monitor and report any maintenance issues to the Facilities Manager
• Ensure back-of-house areas meet health and safety standards
• Assist with seasonal tasks (grounds, snow/ice clearing, event set-up)
• Support porter and general operational duties as needed

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in a maintenance, facilities, or general operations role (hotel or hospitality experience an advantage)
• Practical, hands-on approach with good problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working flexible hours, including weekends
• Full clean driving licence desirable
• Strong attention to detail and pride in a well-presented property
• Team player with a positive, can-do attitude
