Job Description

The Spa Beautician is responsible for delivering high-quality beauty and spa services in a professional, hygienic and guest-focused manner. This role includes performing manicures, pedicures, facials, waxing, eye care treatments, hair services and selected spa treatments according to the spa menu, guest needs and brand standards.

Will take full responsibility for all related Spa Beautician tasks and duties; such as, but not limited to:

Beauty and Spa Services:

• Perform professional manicures and pedicures, including nail shaping, cuticle care, polishing, basic nail art and guest after-care advice.
• Provide facial treatments according to guest skin type, treatment protocols and product guidelines.
• Carry out waxing services safely and discreetly, ensuring guest comfort, hygiene and privacy at all times.
• Knowledge of eye care services such as eyebrow shaping, tinting and eyelash care, where applicable and in accordance with training and standards.
• Provide basic hair services including washing, blow-drying, styling, scalp care and hair treatment application as per requirements.
• Assist with selected spa treatments, body treatments and relaxation services as trained and assigned by the Spa & Wellness Manager.

• Welcome guests warmly, consult with them to understand their needs, preferences and any contraindications before providing services.
• Recommend suitable beauty treatments, home-care routines and retail products according to guest needs and spa standards.
• Maintain guest comfort, privacy and satisfaction throughout every treatment and respond professionally to guest feedback.

• Maintain strong knowledge of beauty products, skincare, nail care, hair care and treatment techniques used in the spa.
• Follow treatment protocols, product usage guidelines and guest consultation procedures at all times.
• Stay updated on beauty trends, new products and service techniques relevant to manicure, pedicure, facials, waxing, eye care, hair services and spa treatments.

• Check treatment rooms, tools, products and equipment before and after each service to ensure readiness and quality.
• Report guest preferences, product concerns, maintenance issues or service improvement opportunities to the supervisor or Spa & Wellness Manager.

• Assist with appointment flow by coordinating with reception and arriving on time for all scheduled services.
• Monitor stock levels of beauty products, linens, disposable items, nail products, waxing supplies and treatment amenities, and report replenishment needs.
• Sterilize, disinfect and store tools and equipment correctly before and after use, including nail tools, waxing equipment, facial tools and hair tools.
• Maintain a safe and hazard-free environment for all team members and guests, and always promote safety awareness.
• Support retail sales by explaining product benefits and recommending suitable home-care products without pressure.
• Assist with spa promotions, wellness activities and guest events as assigned by the management.
• Participate in departmental briefings, trainings and meetings as required.
• Perform any other duties related to spa, beauty and wellness activities duly assigned by the management.

Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in Beauty Therapy, Cosmetology, or a related field.
• Previous experience as a Spa Beautician or Beauty Therapist, preferably in a luxury hotel or resort.
• Proficiency in manicure, pedicure, facials, waxing, and basic hair services.
• Knowledge of skincare products, beauty treatments, and hygiene standards.
• Excellent communication and guest service skills.
• Professional appearance with a positive attitude and strong teamwork skills.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
• Good command of spoken and written English; additional languages are an advantage.
