What's the job?

Purpose of the role: This role designs and delivers Power BI data models and reports that turn business requirements into reliable, high-quality dashboarding applications for Kingfisher's Commercial team. Working closely with data engineering and business stakeholders across the Group to ensure data quality, adoption, and continuous improvement of BI solutions. 

 

  • Design and develop data models and reports in Microsoft Power BI 
  • Translate business requirements into analytical solutions, including requirements documentation 
  • Prepare, optimize, and maintain SQL queries  
  • Prepare and cleanse available data sources, including Excel files  
  • Ensure data quality through validation  
  • Collaborate with Data engineering teams on data integration  
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and deliver solutions iteratively based on feedback 
  • Apply development standards, including version control, documentation, governance, and security 
  • Support user enablement through training materials and user support 
  • Work in agile framework, including planning, prioritization, and sprint-based delivery 

What you'll bring

Minimum Requirements 

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in delivering Business Intelligence solutions using Power BI 
  • Good knowledge of SQL and data modelling concepts 
  • Ability to work with stakeholders and translate business needs into documented requirements 
  • Relationship building and stakeholder collaboration 
  • Strong communication skills and active listening 
  • Collaboration and communication within cross-functional teams 
  • Proactiveness and ownership of assigned deliverables 
  • Attention to detail and quality 
  • English language proficiency at a minimum B2 level 
  • Minimum secondary education 

Desirable Requirements 

  • Knowledge of SharePoint or Confluence and technical documentation standards 
  • Experience with Databricks and/or Microsoft Fabric data platforms
