Job Description:
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
The primary function of a Billing Specialist is to assist in the preparation, review, and generation of customer invoices during the Billing process.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Collect and process paperwork by accurately keying bill of ladings, purchase orders, or and other customer reference numbers into the system
- Process customer invoices in accordance with customer specific requirements
- Assist fleet managers regarding driver questions related to missing paperwork, incomplete paperwork, and other paperwork issues
- Complete customer requests for proof of delivery documents
- Assist in the billing of line haul, dedicated, and logistics/brokerage loads on a daily basis
- Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:
- Associates degree in Accounting preferred, and/or related work experience
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office products
- Ability to function in a fast-paced work environment and tolerate stress
- Express excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong keyboarding and 10 key skills
- Ability to plan, organize, be attentive to detail, and excel in problem-solving skills
