What You Will Do:

This is a full time position Monday through Friday - Onsite based at UAB Medical West Hospital - Bessemer, AL - Hours to be 8 hour shift between 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM CT.

• Complete birth, death and fetal death certificates in accordance with State guidelines.

• Submit monthly reports to the State Vital Statistics Department

• Provide Paternity Affidavit services

• Facilitate completion of certificates when necessary

• Update patient demographics

• Assist with scanning for chart completion

• Manage inventory and supply orders for staff

What You Will Need:

• High School Diploma / GED or 3 years of relevant equivalent experience in lieu of Diploma / GED.

• 1-3+ year's experience in office, business, operations, customer service or healthcare field.

What Would Be Nice To Have:

• One-year medical record experience

• Notary License
