Summary

Basketball England is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Business Administrator Apprentice to support the delivery of key programmes and projects across both its Talent and Participation teams.

It’s a great opportunity to gain experience across multiple areas of a National Governing Body, spending approximately 50% of your time supporting the Talent team and 50% supporting the Participation team.

Within the Talent team, you will provide administrative and planning support for Aspire Camps, the London Coaches Programme and a range of NBA-related events and activities. You will help coordinate logistics, maintain records, communicate with participants and support the successful delivery of talent development opportunities.

Within the Participation team, you will support the delivery of leagues and competitions, helping clubs and members throughout the season. You will also assist with the delivery of Slam Jam and Jr. NBA leagues and events, supporting community participation and engagement across the game.

The role will also provide exposure to Basketball England's facilities and place-based investment programmes, including Project Swish, Mayor of London outdoor court developments and NBA-funded facility investment projects, and associated community activations.

Throughout the apprenticeship, you will develop valuable administration, communication, project coordination and stakeholder engagement skills whilst completing a Level 3 Business Administrator qualification.

This apprenticeship is part-funded and supported by Coach Core's charitable programme. Coach Core exists to create employment opportunities for young people aged 16–24 who have faced barriers to accessing education, employment or career opportunities.

The programme is designed to support young people who have the potential to succeed but may have experienced challenges such as financial disadvantage, low prior educational attainment, additional learning needs or disabilities, caring responsibilities, discrimination, limited access to employment opportunities, or other personal or socio-economic barriers.
