About this role

Master Works is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer to design, develop, and maintain Business Intelligence solutions, including dashboards, reports, data models, and ETL processes. You will collaborate with business and technical teams to translate requirements into effective BI solutions, develop SQL-based reports and dashboards, perform testing and troubleshooting, and continuously improve BI systems to support business needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Translate business needs into technical specifications.
  • Produce ETL design guidelines to ensure a manageable ETL infrastructure for the BI system.
  • Design, build, and deploy BI solutions, including reporting tools.
  • Create tools to store and manage data, such as Tabular Models.
  • Conduct unit testing and troubleshooting.
  • Evaluate and improve existing BI systems.
  • Collaborate with teams to integrate systems.
  • Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses.
  • Create visualizations and reports for requested projects.
  • Develop and update technical documentation.
  • Design communication processes and prepare plans for all work assignments, ensuring completion within deadlines.
  • Monitor data projects throughout the development life cycle and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Administer the design of Business Intelligence projects and develop dashboards and reports.
  • Develop reports and dashboards on SQL Server.
  • Prepare test cases and test plans and perform system testing.
  • Install and assist in configuring various Business Intelligence tools.
  • Troubleshoot Business Intelligence tools and assist in resolving issues.
  • Monitor the monthly release cycle and perform unit testing for Quality Assurance.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Technology, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • 3–5 years of relevant experience in Business Intelligence development.
  • Experience working with enterprise-level applications, databases, and data warehouses.
  • Strong knowledge of SQL queries, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
  • Strong understanding of relational databases.
  • Strong ability to analyze user requirements and build front-end BI applications according to specifications.
  • Proven ability to take initiative and be innovative.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving skills.
