What will you do?

We are looking for a dynamic and knowledgeable teacher to join our IB DP faculty as a Business Management Teacher The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the IB curriculum and be capable of delivering engaging and challenging lessons in Business Management. This role will involve instructing students in critical concepts, facilitating discussions, and guiding them through coursework and assessments.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Teaching and Curriculum Delivery: Deliver engaging and comprehensive lessons in Business Management adhering to the IB DP curriculum.

• Student Assessment: Design and administer assessments to evaluate student progress and provide constructive feedback.

• IB Programme Support: Actively participate in the development and enhancement of the IB DP curriculum, including unit planning and resource creation.

• Individualised Support: Provide academic and career counseling to students pursuing Business Management

• Multidisciplinary Collaboration: Collaborate with colleagues to create cross-curricular opportunities and encourage a holistic approach to education.

• Classroom Management: Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that fosters critical thinking and discussion.

• Professional Development: Engage in continuous professional development to stay up-to-date with educational best practices and IB program requirements.

• Extracurricular Involvement: Encourage student involvement in related extracurricular activities and competitions.

Essential Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Education, Business or a related field. A Master's degree is preferred.
• Teaching certification and qualification to teach IB Diploma Programme (DP) courses.
• Demonstrated experience in teaching Business Management at the DP level.
• Deep knowledge of the IB DP curriculum, assessment, and educational philosophy.
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills.
• A student-centered teaching approach, fostering critical thinking and independent learning.
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of IB DP students.
• Commitment to professional growth and keeping up-to-date with curriculum and pedagogical changes.

Cyprus regulations require applicants to have a university degree in Business recognised by KY.S.A.T.S. (The Cyprus Council of Recognition of Higher Education Qualifications) and the ability to pass a background check. 

• The minimum requirement is a Bachelor Degree in Business, additional degrees would be an advantage
• Teaching Qualifications
• Be fluent in English
• Minimum 3 years of teaching experience
• Teaching experience in IB MYP and/or DP is desirable

Bonus Skills/Experience

• Other languages like Russian, Ukrainian or Hebrew
• Private School Teaching experience

Working Conditions

There are 19 classes per week and the hours are 08.00-16.00 or 09.00-17,00 depending on schedules.
