Job Description

The Buyer is responsible for managing the procurement of goods and services in line with company policies and project requirements. This role involves coordinating with internal stakeholders to understand purchasing needs, identifying suitable suppliers, negotiating prices and terms, and processing purchase orders. They ensures timely delivery, monitors supplier performance, and maintains accurate records in procurement systems. They handle day-to-day procurement tasks with minimal supervision and contribute to cost-efficiency, compliance, and continuous improvement in sourcing practices.

Qualifications

3–5 years of professional experience in procurement, strategic sourcing, or supply chain operations, ideally within a corporate or multinational environment.

Hands-on experience in executing RFx processes, negotiating with vendors, and managing supplier relationships.

Exposure to non-IT category management (e.g. facilities, professional services, travel, HR, marketing, logistics).

Experience with ERP systems (e.g. Oracle, SAP, Coupa) and procurement reporting tools.

Solid understanding of procurement processes, sourcing strategies, supplier evaluation, and contract management.

Ability to conduct cost analysis, benchmarking, and market research for supplier sourcing.

Strong negotiation skills with the ability to manage commercial discussions, develop pricing models, and identify cost-saving opportunities.

Knowledge of budgeting processes and how procurement impacts financial performance.

Effective communication and collaboration skills to engage with internal stakeholders and understand business requirements.

Confidence in managing expectations, facilitating alignment, and influencing decisions across business units.

Capability to evaluate and manage supplier performance, organize governance meetings, and drive continuous improvement plans.

Ability to interpret data, assess KPIs, and generate insights to support decision-making and procurement optimization.
