Competitive Pay

Responsibilities

As a Certified Medication Aide (CMA) at Lorien Mount Airy, you will play an essential role in supporting the health, comfort, and well-being of our residents. Working under the direction of the Director of Nursing and licensed nursing staff, you will safely administer medications while providing compassionate, resident-centered care in accordance with established policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.Responsibilities include:
  • Administer prescribed medications accurately and timely according to physician orders and care plans.
  • Monitor residents for medication effectiveness, side effects, and changes in condition, reporting concerns to the nursing team.
  • Maintain accurate medication administration records and documentation.
  • Assist with resident care and activities of daily living as appropriate.
  • Ensure compliance with state regulations, infection control standards, and medication management protocols.
  • Promote resident safety, dignity, independence, and quality of life.
  • Collaborate with nurses, physicians, caregivers, and interdisciplinary team members to deliver exceptional care.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and secure medication administration environment.

 

Qualifications

  • Part-Time
  • Schedule: 2:30p-11p
  • Must have an active CMA (Certified Medicine Aide) license on Maryland Board of Nursing
  • Every-other weekend availability (Saturday and Sunday)
  • Ability to safely lift, push, and pull up to 25–50 pounds as part of daily job responsibilities, with or without reasonable accomodation.
