Position Overview

The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the Monitor Bed Unit (MBU) provides essential, hands-on patient care under the direction of nursing staff. This role is vital in supporting patient comfort, safety, and overall well-being in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, mobility, and meals
• Obtain and record vital signs, reporting changes to nursing staff
• Respond promptly to call lights and patient needs
• Support nurses with patient care and documentation
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient care environment
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and care teams
• Promote patient comfort, dignity, and safety at all times

Minimum Qualifications

• Certification: Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in North Carolina
• Certification: Basic Life Support (CPR) – required
• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent – preferred
• Experience: Previous CNA experience preferred

Employment Requirements

• Compliance with all hospital policies, including vaccination requirements (approved exemptions considered)
