Project: Appointment of General Consultant (GC) for System Works of Part of Corridor of Metro Line 5 (Thane-Bhiwandi-Kalyan), Metro Line 7A (Andheri (E) to CSIA), Metro Line 9 (Dahisar (E) to Mira Bhayander) of Mumbai Metro Rail Project of MMRDA.

We are seeking applications for the position of Chief PST Expert-K1 for Mumbai Metro Line 5, 7A & 9- GC Systems Project.

Missions/Main Duties

The Chief PST Expert has to oversees the design, implementation, and integration of Power Supply (PS) and Traction systems for metro rail projects. They have to ensure that the electrical infrastructure is safe, reliable, efficient, and compliant with relevant standards and client requirements.

 Key Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership:

• Lead all activities related to power supply (including substations) and traction systems (such as third rail or overhead catenary).
• Provide strategic input in planning, design, tendering, procurement, and commissioning phases.

Design Review & Approval:

• Review and approve all technical designs, drawings, and calculations submitted by contractors or vendors.
• Ensure compatibility and integration with rolling stock, signalling, and other subsystems.

Coordination:

• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams (civil, signalling, telecom, rolling stock, etc.) to ensure seamless system integration.
• Liaise with clients, contractors, and relevant authorities for all PST-related deliverables.

Compliance & Safety:

• Ensure that the design and implementation adhere to local and international standards (e.g., IEC, EN, IS standards, or others as specified by the client).
• Oversee safety studies (such as RAMS, EMC/EMI, and earthing/bonding).

Testing & Commissioning:

• Lead or supervise Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT), Site Acceptance Tests (SAT), and the commissioning process.
• Address any technical issues arising during testing and commissioning.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Prepare and review technical reports, progress updates, and documentation for client approval.
• Provide expert input in progress meetings and client presentations.

Value Engineering & Risk Management:

• Identify opportunities for cost optimization without compromising safety or quality.
• Evaluate technical risks and propose mitigation strategies.

Profile/Skills

• Education qualification - Graduate in Electrical Engineering
• Years of experience - 20+ Years
• Prior experience requirement - 8+ Years in OHE/RSS/TSS/SCADA in Mtero/Railway Projects. 
• Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
• Ability to work within a culturally diverse organization, recognizing and respecting differences.
• Ability to problem solve, especially in an integrated project delivery environment, applying industry best practices.
• Self-motivated individual with outstanding leadership skills and the ability to influence without authority
• Strong leadership skills, proven ability to lead a team effort & make independent decisions and be a good troubleshooter.
