Currently, we are bidding for Metro projects across India. The position of Chief Traction Power Design & Specification Engineer & Chief Resident Enginer (CRE)- Traction is the key position in these BIDs.

Missions/Main Duties

• Design & Specification Authority: Approving the design of Receiving Substations (RSS), Auxiliary Substations (ASS), and Traction Substations (TSS), including protection schemes and SCADA integration.

• Overhead Equipment (OHE) / Third Rail: Overseeing the design and technical specifications for the Flexible/Rigid Overhead Catenary System (ROC) or Third Rail systems to ensure optimal current collection.

• System Integration: Managing critical interfaces with the Rolling Stock (pantograph/shoe compatibility), Signaling (EMC/EMI interference), and Civil (structure bonding and grounding).

• CRE Site Governance: Serving as the Chief Resident Engineer to lead the installation, testing, and charging of high-voltage systems, ensuring all site works match "Good for Construction" (GFC) drawings.

• Safety & Statutory Compliance: Securing mandatory approvals from the Electrical Inspector to the Government (EIG) and leading the technical defense for CMRS safety certification.

• Quality & Procurement: Vetting technical bids for heavy equipment (transformers, switchgears, breakers) and approving Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) for critical power components.

• Reliability & RAMS: Implementing vibration and stray current monitoring systems to ensure the 30+ year lifecycle of the traction infrastructure.

Profile/Skills

• Graduate in relevant Engineering
• Required total 23+ years of experience
• 7+ years of experience in relevant projects.
