About this role

Overview

Kimley-Horn is looking for a Civil Analyst - Development Services to join our Pearland, Texas (TX) office in 2026! This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities

  • Perform site development engineering and project management tasks across a variety of projects
  • Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to produce our clients’ visions for the future built environment
  • Projects will include a variety of land development site designs
  • Support research, coordination, project management, cost estimating, permitting for land disturbance and preparation of bid packages as well as technical specifications
  • Develop familiarity with the federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn’s and our client’s practices, procedures, and standards
  • Support plan production, project financials, and client interactions
  • This position requires 10% domestic travel
  • Remote work from home acceptable as projects permit within reasonable commuting distance of the Pearland, TX office

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree from an ABET accredited university in the field of Civil Engineering. Also requires education, training or experience in the following:
    • "Engineer-In-Training" or "Engineering Intern" certification (or ability to obtain within 12 months);
    • Experience working under a licensed professional engineer to assist in private development, public improvements and structural design projects;
    • Preparing construction drawings and documents in CAD software including AutoCAD and Microstation;
    • Using StormCAD, Hydroflow, ICPR and other industry accepted software and development of hydrology studies; and
    • Preparing paperwork and deliverables for client submittals.
