General Job Description:
Sets up and operates horizontal and vertical CNC mills. Requires only general supervision.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Job knowledge through suitable education or prior work experience
- Able to read blueprints
- 4th axis experience
- Programming a must
- Know correct speeds and feeds, tooling, design and manufacturing of fixtures
Specific Duties:
- Program and Set up horizontal & vertical CNC mills
- Make proper set-up to give rigidity to work piece
- Work with materials such as cast iron, steel, bronze, brass and other non-ferrous materials
- Hold tolerance of .003 inch
- Manufacture and inspect blueprint
- Upkeep daily preventative maintenance log
Physical Demands:
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. regularly
- Requires frequent bending, stooping, squatting, pushing and pulling of parts and part containers
- May be required to stand for long periods of time
- May involve some repetitive motions
- Due to the open environment of the warehouse, must be able to work in various weather and temperature conditions to include extreme heat, humidity and cold
