Salary Range: $33.80 to $42.25
Hours: 15 Hours
Shifts: 2 Days Per Week
Status: Temporary Part Time

Position Summary

As a member of the IMPACT interdisciplinary team, the Community Health Worker - Vocational Specialist supports individuals living with serious mental illness in pursuing employment, education, volunteer opportunities, and other meaningful community roles that align with their recovery goals.

Duties

  • Work from a recovery-oriented, trauma-informed, and harm reduction framework
  • Provide individualized vocational support
  • Facilitate group programming
  • Collaborate with community partners
  • Support opportunities for social inclusion
  • Promote skill development
  • Encourage community participation

Qualifications

  • Completion of a Community Health Worker, Social Service Worker, or related diploma program, or an equivalent combination of education, relevant experience, and/or lived experience.
  • Minimum one (1) to two (2) years' experience supporting individuals experiencing mental illness, substance use, homelessness, or complex social needs.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of recovery-oriented practice, harm reduction, trauma-informed care, and anti-oppressive approaches.
  • Experience facilitating groups, workshops, or psychoeducational programming.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, engagement, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently in community environments and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency and ability to document electronically.
