About this role

About School of Coding & AI

School of Coding & AI is a fast-growing education provider delivering career-focused learning across Higher Education, digital skills, artificial intelligence, business, health and wider professional programmes.

We work with university partners, employers and industry specialists to deliver education that equips students with relevant knowledge, practical skills and clear progression opportunities.

As our Computing and IT provision continues to grow, we are strengthening our academic leadership team to ensure our programmes remain well organised, academically rigorous and responsive to developments across technology and industry.

About the role

The Deputy Programme Lead will support the academic leadership and day-to-day management of Computing and IT provision across School of Coding & AI.

Working closely with the Programme Lead, you will help coordinate programme delivery, maintain teaching standards, support lecturers and ensure students receive a consistent and engaging academic experience.

This role sits between academic delivery and subject leadership. You will remain connected to classroom practice while taking greater responsibility for curriculum coordination, staff support, academic quality and the effective running of the subject area.

You will help translate academic plans into consistent delivery, ensuring teaching teams understand what is expected, modules are appropriately resourced and potential issues are identified and addressed early.

The role would suit an experienced Computing or IT lecturer who is ready to take the next step into academic leadership, or an existing programme leader seeking broader responsibility across a growing portfolio.

  • Work with Student Services and academic teams to resolve student concerns and support students at risk of disengagement.
  • Contribute to programme reviews, validation activity, external examiner responses and academic improvement plans.
  • Build links with employers and industry partners to strengthen employability, applied learning and curriculum relevance.
