As part of its development Volton strengthens its human resources in Athens and seeks a Corporate Affairs Paralegal Officer.

Responsibilities

  • Review the Legal Department’s incoming correspondence on a daily basis, identifying deadlines, urgent matters and required actions
  • Record, maintain and monitor legal case files and registers, including extrajudicial notices, court and criminal cases, personal data requests and other legal proceedings
  • Monitor and update the status of ongoing cases in electronic files and relevant records, including extrajudicial responses, court decisions and other developments
  • Maintain and update company’s contract records in the document management system, tracking pending actions, missing documentation and completion of the contract management process
  • Check the completeness of contracts and relevant approval forms and coordinate the signing process between company and counterparties, including the exchange and filing of documents
  • Maintain electronic and physical contract archives, inform relevant departments upon completion of the signing process, and prepare, review and update quarterly contract records submitted to the Tax Authorities
  • Reconcile, on a monthly basis, registered contractual documents against those signed by management, identifying any missing or additional documentation
  • Maintain the records of Board of Directors and general meetings minutes, including numbering, circulation for signature, and archiving of signed originals and certified copies
  • Maintain records of extrajudicial notices received from Municipalities and provide weekly updates to Management, while following up on corporate requests and ensuring their timely resolution
  • Create case files by retrieving relevant documents, data and case history from corporate systems in relation to customer requests, extrajudicial notices and legal actions involving the Company and its customers
  • Organize meetings with internal and external stakeholders, including scheduling, agenda preparation, minute-taking and distribution of meeting minutes
  • Provide general administrative and secretarial support to the Legal Department
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role within a law firm or corporate environment
  • A paralegal certification or Diploma in Legal Professions will be considered an asset
  • Excellent command of the English language (C1 level)
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office and fast typing skills
