    Job Description

At SIXT, we are much more than a car rental company: we are a team that is always on the move, quite literally. Present in over 100 countries with a fleet that never stops, our Damage Department plays a key role in upholding the quality and trust our customers rely on. As a Damage Agent on the Task Force Spain team, you will be responsible for the administrative and operational handling of vehicle damage claims within the Spanish portfolio. You will work closely with international and local teams, acting as a key point of contact between customers, insurers, expert appraisers, and authorities. This is not just about processing files: it is about investigating, deciding, and actively contributing to a team that operates under high standards and supports each other to deliver the best outcomes. Sounds good? Then please feel free to apply and join the Damage Team at Rostock Grubenstraße – we look forward to hearing from you!

    YOUR ROLE AT SIXT

    • You carry out initial damage assessments on vehicles based on photographs and reports, determining the extent of the claim and the next steps to take
    • You manage written correspondence with international customers, insurance companies, police authorities, and law firms
    • You commission independent expert appraisals in Spain for the preparation of technical reports
    • You actively investigate claims when information is incomplete: gathering data, cross-checking accounts, and clarifying causality, liability, and the circumstances of each incident
    • You work closely with internal teams within the Damage Department, contributing with criteria, initiative, and transparency in every case
    • You adapt quickly to changes in processes, tools, and workload in a continuously growing environment, including the gradual integration of automation and artificial intelligence tools that support the team's work

    YOUR SKILLS MATTER

    • Education & Experience You bring either a professional qualification or university background in administration, law, insurance, or a related field, or solid hands-on experience in claims management, customer service, back-office, or similar operational roles that shows commitment and the ability to deliver results
    • Judgement & Decision-Making You can assess the available information, take ownership, and make well-grounded decisions even under pressure or when the full picture is missing, because deciding well and on time is a core part of this role
    • Investigative Mindset You like getting to the bottom of things with attention to detail and you do not settle for the first version of events
    • Solution-Oriented Approach When faced with a problem, your first instinct is to figure out how to solve it, and you manage your workload with structure and clear priorities, particularly during periods of high demand
    • Flexibility & Resilience Fast-paced environments do not hold you back but bring out the best in you, and you adapt to changing contexts, processes, and priorities without losing focus
    • Communication & Team Spirit You express yourself with transparency and respect in both writing and as part of a team, and you collaborate, share, propose ideas, and celebrate collective achievements in practice, not just in words
    • Professional Integrity You act with consistency and honesty, including when no one is watching, and you bring ideas to the table, question what can be improved, and embrace change with a positive attitude
    • Technology & Digital Fluency You are at ease in digital environments with confident use of MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), and exposure to automation or AI-assisted workflows sparks your curiosity, not your concern
    • Languages You are fluent in English (written and spoken, essential) and Spanish (essential), with German or other European languages being a strong advantage
