Position Overview
Job Description Summary
Analyzes QA’s data management system, data feeds, data processes and databases. Responsible for reviewing all incoming requirements, complete technical tasks and reported issues. Communicate with internal and external stakeholders in regard to requirements and data knowledge.
Essential Duties & Functions
- Review incoming client requests for delivery team, analyze business and functional requirements to create technical acceptance criteria
- Analyze client, product, operational, member, provider, or healthcare data to identify trends, issues, gaps, and opportunities.
- Partner with Client Delivery Managers, Product Delivery, Data Operations, Product, QA, Engineering, and Configuration teams to clarify requirements and resolve open questions.
- Performs refinement, requirement analysis, data analysis related to delivery tasks
- Contribute to refinement meetings, agenda, open tickets, status, KPIs, follow-ups
- Performs research and provides recommendations for data definition, requirements and structure
- Identifies, verifies and analyzes data defects/issues and communicates with team to determine the root cause for issue resolution
- Creates SQL queries for reporting and support troubleshooting
- Review data files, feeds, and outputs for accuracy, completeness, formatting, and business alignment.
- Investigate data discrepancies, file issues, missing data, unexpected results, and reporting defects.
- Provides analytical support and conducts data mining/complex multiple variable analysis
- Oversees data QA functions to ensure accuracy of business rules defined and data integrity
- Proactively identifies issues and trends through data analysis and manipulation
- Supports initiatives for data integrity and normalization
- Maintains Confluence page on data projects
- Communicates effectively with cross functional teams
- Interpret and analyze data from multiple sources including claims, member, and benefits data.
Experience, Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills
- Bachelor's degree (B. A. / B. S.) from four-year college or university; 2+ years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 2+ years of experience as a data analyst or in related field.
- Ability to work with stakeholders to assess potential risks.
- Ability to analyze existing tools and databases and provide data solution recommendations.
- Ability to translate business requirements into non-technical, lay terms.
- High-level experience in methodologies and processes for managing large scale databases
- Demonstrated experience in analyzing large data sets and relational databases
- Ability to manage time and priorities of multiple projects/tasks
- Displays professionalism and ability to learn quickly
- Conscientious of work quality and deadlines
- Extremely detail oriented
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate closely with multiple teams across with a wide range of technical backgrounds
Required Technical Skills
- Experience in a data analyst, reporting analyst, business analyst, product analyst, data operations, or similar role
- Strong SQL skills for querying, analysis, validation, and troubleshooting
- Strong Excel skills, including formulas, pivots, lookups, filtering, reconciliation, and data comparison
- Experience analyzing large or complex datasets
- Ability to investigate data quality issues and explain findings clearly
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Ability to manage multiple requests, priorities, and deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable working with both technical and business stakeholders
Preferred Skills
- Experience with healthcare, payer, provider, member, claims, network, transparency, or client delivery data
- Experience using data visualization tools and presenting information
- Familiarity with QA testing, user acceptance testing, and production release validation skills
