Job Summary and Responsibilities
Job Summary / PurposeThis position includes responsibilities for maintaining system encounter and financial databases and tables for  the decision support system, updating the databases according to set schedules, and auditing the data. This  position will perform duties for the cost accounting closes including costing audits and RVU development. This  position will also be responsible for creating meaningful analysis for customers and produce scheduled reports  on time.

In order to succeed in this role, this position will act as a consultant to the facility clinical and financial  teams, and initiate, coordinate, and provide input for the decision support projects and the ability to  discover and resolve financial or encounter integration issues such as overhead allocation, financial  remapping, and encounter data discrepancies. Persons in this position will have a solid skill set in Excel  and be able to work independently creating meaningful spreadsheets for analysis by various consumers.
Essential FunctionsEssential FunctionDecision Support System Database Administration
 • Perform the periodic integration of the encounter data which includes conducting the  appropriate audit steps to insure the accuracy of the data after each update
 • Maintain and update the related decision support system tables as needed to insure accurate  and consistent reporting
 Cost Accounting
 • Maintain the decision support system tables that drive the cost allocation process
 • Integrate general ledger data each month and reconcile data which includes understanding  which expenses and revenues should be included or excluded and why
 Financial Analysis and Reporting
 • Produce scheduled reports on time. These reports will include but are not limited to monthly  operating margins, Clinical and Operational Excellence analysis, vendor data pulls, and AdHoc  reporting.
 Implementation of Facilities into the Decision Support Application
 • Assist as needed on building tables and datasets for the implementation
 • Audit data build to insure all facilities are consistently set up
 Net Revenue Development
 • Audit and confirm net revenue applied correctly to encounters
Job Requirements
Education and ExperienceÂ
Required - Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field
1-3 years combined experience in healthcare finance, cost  accounting, or decision support
