The RoleÂ
We are looking for a Delivery Driver who will be responsible for delivering cannabis products to Green Thumb's customers. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting products, maintaining delivery schedules, and upholding exceptional customer service standards. The role requires a passion for driving, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to reliability.Â
ResponsibilitiesÂ
- Load the delivery van at the beginning of the day for deliveries that will happen throughout the dayÂ
- Interpret and execute state laws and regulations required when delivering medical cannabisÂ
- Working knowledge of vehicle maintenance and ability to complete routine maintenance tasks (changing tires, check and add fluids, etc)Â
- Manage documents associated with medical cannabis delivery, ensuring that proper documents are kept, and manifests are returned completed and ready for filingÂ
- Maintain positive, professional relationships with dispensary staffÂ
- Communicate timely and effectively when issues arise while making deliveriesÂ
- Other duties as assigned by managementÂ
Qualifications Â
- At least one years of professional driving experience preferredÂ
- Must be 21 years or olderÂ
- Must pass required background checks, including Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) and state specific cannabis employment requirementsÂ
- Must be and remain compliant with all legal or company regulations for working in the industry Â
- Meet the scheduling and availability requirements (i.e., ability to work a schedule inclusive of varying shifts such as mornings, days, nights, and weekends) to meet business needsÂ
- Must have reliable, responsible, and dependable attendanceÂ
- Prior cannabis experience not required
Additional RequirementsÂ
Must have the ability to perform the following tasks for prolonged periods of time (i.e., up to the duration of a workday)Â
- Move about the dispensary and delivery areas to fulfill work assignments and assist patients and/or customers in various locationsÂ
- Remain in a stationary position, including in a motor vehicle, to meet the needs of the business and complete delivery tasks timelyÂ
- Converse and communicate with individuals and groups of people directlyÂ
- Operate point of sale system, computer, and other office productivity machinery in order to use online programming and software including word processing, database management, spreadsheet applications and emailÂ
- Prepare patient and/customer orders by moving and placing productsÂ
- Inspect and receive detailed information, such as patients' and/or customers' dates of birth, in-store or online orders, or inquiriesÂ
- Move inventory and materials weighing up to 30 pounds independentlyÂ
- Position self to move inventory and materials in storage areasÂ
SkillsÂ
- Consistent demonstration of excellent customer service skillsÂ
- Demonstrated initiative and proactive attitude, as well as independent judgmentÂ
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all employeesÂ
- Ability to listen well and effectively communicate, both verbally and in writing, with various audiencesÂ
- Previous experience with POS systemsÂ
- Understanding of applicable cannabis laws and regulations, safety regulations, local municipal codes and organizational rules, and standard operating proceduresÂ
- Be able to follow instructions as directed and incorporate constructive criticism from managers
- Operate with a high level of professionalism and integrity, including dealing with confidential information and complying with HIPAA requirements.
