About this role
Deputy Retail Manager
Padstow, Cornwall , Permanent, 30- 37.5h hours per week
We’re looking for an enthusiastic, organised, and reliable Deputy Retail Manager to join our retail team in Padstow, working in Tarquin's Retail Shop and occasionally Tinner Bros Whisky, Twin Fin Rum.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with retail experience who enjoys leading by example, delivering great customer service, and supporting the smooth day‑to‑day running of busy, customer‑facing shops.
What you’ll be doing
- Delivering outstanding customer service to every visitor
- Supporting the Retail Manager with daily operations and taking responsibility in their absence
- Managing inventory, stock rotation, and deliveries
- Helping the team meet daily and weekly targets
- Maintaining high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and safety
- Acting as a keyholder, including opening and closing the store
- Supporting rota planning when required
- Working collaboratively across multiple sites when needed
This role will include weekend working on a rota basis.
What we’re looking for
- Retail experience (essential)
- Confident, approachable, and organised
- Comfortable engaging with customers and small groups
Nice to have:
- Personal Licence Holder
- Hospitality or alcohol service experience
