Responsibilities
The Designated Institutional Official (DIO), is responsible for maintaining the educational quality, financial viability, administrative/academic structure, accreditation standards and other regulatory requirements for graduate medical education (GME). The position functions as a liaison between the ACGME and the residents/fellows, teaching faculty, GME Office, departments/caregivers internal to the hospital, and institutions serving as outside teaching sites for residents and fellows. The DIO should also be knowledgeable about health care compliance and regulatory requirements, and demonstrate abilities in areas of financial analysis, strategic planning, decision making, problem solving, and interpersonal skills. Responsible for developing, establishing, and overseeing all residency programs in assigned market, to ensure clinical excellence, fulfillment of all accreditation standards as well as operational and financial goals. Responsible for developing clinical programs to support residency and medical education goals and may collaborate with CUSM to forward medical education goals. Will also contribute to Prime’s overall vision and strategy for medical education across all residency programs.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $172,640 to $250,036 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
