Development (Back-end)

Role Purpose

We're hiring a Backend Developer who loves designing high-availability systems, mentoring great engineers, and shipping code that scales. If you treat AI as a co-pilot (not an oracle), think in systems, and get a kick out of solving complex production problems 

Responsibilities

• ⭐️ Own what you ship. Take full responsibility for your work — from design to delivery — and consistently hit the commitments you make to the team and stakeholders.
• ⭐️ Use AI to multiply quality and speed. Leverage AI coding assistants and agentic workflows to write better code, catch issues earlier, accelerate reviews, and improve engineering efficiency across the team.
• Architect for scale. Design and build high-availability, fault-tolerant backend services and APIs.
• Drive technical excellence. Set standards for code quality, CI/CD, security (PCI DSS), testing, and code reviews — and make sure the team lives by them.
• Lead incident response. Own root cause analysis for production issues and turn lessons learned into lasting improvements.
• Push the stack forward. Research emerging tech, run POCs, and bring the best ideas back to the team.
• Lift the team. Mentor mid- and junior-level developers through pair programming, code reviews, and knowledge sharing.
• Partner with the business. Collaborate on complex customer projects to find the right technical solution.

Must-have:

• Backend / full-stack experience in production environments
• Proficiency in Java and/or .NET
• Hands-on with cloud (AWS or similar), Docker/Kubernetes, and serverless
• Hands-on experience with at least one AI coding assistant in real projects (not just trial use)
• Solid fundamentals: clean code, testing, code review, Git workflow
• Awareness of data security & responsible AI usage (no sensitive data in prompts, etc.)

Nice-to-have:

• Fintech/payment / high-TPS API background
• Experience with agentic workflows, MCP, custom skills, or prompt engineering at scale
• Contributions to internal tooling, dev productivity, or DevEx initiatives
• Exposure to observability stack (Grafana, Loki, Tempo)

Minimum Qualifications (NEW)

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
• Proven experience delivering large-scale, high-traffic backend systems in production.
