Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities (includes, but not limited to):Â
- Review and update physician diet orders in the hospital’s EHR to ensure each patient receives meals matching their prescribed dietÂ
- Assist patients with menu selections, print and distribute menus, and make substitutions when necessaryÂ
- Communicate diet change, allergy, and preference between nursing units, dietitians, and kitchen staffÂ
- Enter and maintain meal orders, admissions, and discharges in the dietary computer system to keep records accurateÂ
- Ensure diet accuracy, follow food safety standards, and support quality checks within the nutrition departmentÂ
