Job Description
The NYC Department of Design and Construction seeks a Digital Content Creator that can make an immediate contribution within our Creative Services unit. The selected candidate will join an active studio and collaborate with writers, illustrators, photographers, and designers. The Content Creator will work on projects from concept development to implementation, creating social media content that is engaging and informative. The candidate should excel at creating sharable content, shooting and editing vertical videos, and have experience with motion graphics and a good understanding of typography. They should be comfortable facilitating interesting discussions, with both experts and non-experts, and converting those discussions into content. The selected candidate will thrive in a team environment and be able to work independently to drive projects efficiently to final execution. Photography skills is a plus.

Qualifications
(1) A baccalaureate degree, with a major in fine or graphic arts, from an accredited college and one year of full-time paid experience as a commercial or graphic artist; or
(2) A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent plus two years of training in a technical school approved by a stateβs Department of Education or comparable governmental agency, in oils, water colors, painting, design, black and white, layout, computer graphics, and other art media, and three years of acceptable full-time paid experience as a commercial or graphic artist.
To be qualified for assignment to Assignment Level II, individuals must have:
(a) at least one year of experience as a Graphic Artist, Assignment Level I; or
(b) the Qualification Requirements described in "1" or "2" above, plus two additional years of acceptable specialized paid experience conceptualizing and initiating graphic art projects.
