About this role
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Washes and prepares various foods for cooking or serving
- Follows all established quality control, portioning, and customer service standards
- Provides excellent service in a friendly, sincere, and courteous manner
- Cleans dishware, glassware, flatware, pots, or pans using dishwashers or by hand
- Ensures proper sorting and storage of dishware, flatware, trays, utensils, or cooking equipment
- Receives and stores supplies
- Maintains sanitation, health, and safety standards
- Other duties as assigned
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
- Knowledge of food service production and service techniques and standards
- Knowledge of food sanitation and safety standards and protocols
- Skill in time management, organization, and multi-tasking in high volume environments
- Skill in verbal, written, and interpersonal communication
- Ability to obtain food safety/sanitation certifications required of the position
Minimum Education & Experience
- High School diploma or GED
- 3 years of related experience
- Equivalent combination of experience and education may be considered

Work schedule may need to fluctuate based on University-wide events, and academic breaks.
