  • Serve as the Director's designated backup: represent Real Time Operations in cross-functional and executive forums, and own portfolio outcomes and escalations in the Director's absence.
  • Lead the technical depth of complex transmission operations, including outage strategy, transmission redirects, and complex pathing support across caiso's spto/edam and spp/m+ constructs.
  • Coordinate with CAISO, TSPs (SRP, TEP, WAPA), and Gridforce on regulatory engagement, NERC/CAISO compliance, and evolving EDAM/Markets+ seams design.
  • Support commercial and financial reporting: transmission resales, MTSA administration, analysis, and identification of incremental revenue/monetization opportunities.
  • Supports business development thesis in analysis, and identification of incremental revenue/monetization opportunities.

Qualifications

  • Ten or more years of progressive energy-industry experience is expected,
  • Demonstrated depth in commercial transmission operations, CAISO market design, and the practical administration of TSRs, ETCs, CRRs, TORs, OASIS transactions, e-Tags, and transmission entitlement frameworks.
  • The ideal candidate brings direct experience developing, negotiating, commercializing, or implementing transmission rights and market-design structures in CAISO, WECC, SPP, EDAM, and/or Markets+ contexts.
  • Strong preference is given to candidates who have led or materially contributed to EDAM or Markets+ transmission design, seams analysis, congestion and revenue-rights strategy, transmission-service commercialization, interconnection-related commercial strategy, and operating practices for high-value renewable and transmission assets.
