Job Description

Rixos Hotels is seeking an exceptional and creative Director of Entertainment to join the Executive Leadership Team at Rixos Phu Quoc, a landmark luxury all-inclusive resort in Vietnam.

Reporting directly to the General Manager, the Director of Entertainment will be responsible for creating and delivering a world-class entertainment strategy that defines the guest experience and brings the Rixos “All-Inclusive, All-Exclusive” philosophy to life. This executive role will lead the development of immersive entertainment concepts, signature experiences, live performances, and recreational programming across the resort.

The successful candidate will be a visionary entertainment leader with extensive luxury hospitality experience, a passion for experiential programming, and a proven track record of creating memorable guest journeys within large-scale resorts, lifestyle hotels, and all-inclusive destinations.

Key Responsibilities

Entertainment Strategy & Experience Design

• Develop and execute the resort’s overall entertainment vision, strategy, and programming calendar in alignment with Rixos brand standards and guest expectations.
• Create innovative, engaging, and culturally relevant entertainment concepts across the resort’s venues, public spaces, pools, beaches, and event areas.
• Design a diverse entertainment offering catering to international guests, families, couples, and different market segments.
• Develop signature experiences that differentiate Rixos Phu Quoc as a leading luxury all-inclusive destination.
• Collaborate with F&B, Marketing, Guest Experience, and Operations teams to create integrated resort experiences.

Pre-Opening Planning & Launch Readiness

• Lead the entertainment pre-opening strategy, ensuring all programming, infrastructure, and operational requirements are in place ahead of launch.
• Develop entertainment concepts, show calendars, event schedules, and activation plans for the opening phase.
• Establish partnerships with performers, production companies, artists, and entertainment suppliers.
• Support venue planning, technical requirements, equipment needs, and operational workflows.
• Ensure the entertainment offering is ready to deliver exceptional guest experiences from day one.

Entertainment Operations & Quality Excellence

• Oversee all entertainment activities, including live shows, performances, cultural experiences, activities, events, and recreational programming.
• Maintain consistently high standards of creativity, quality, safety, and guest engagement.
• Monitor guest feedback and performance insights to continuously improve entertainment offerings.
• Ensure all entertainment activities comply with operational, safety, and local regulatory requirements.
• Develop seasonal programming and special events to drive guest engagement throughout the year.

Team Leadership & Talent Development

• Build, lead, and develop a talented entertainment team including performers, hosts, activity leaders, and operational support teams.
• Recruit, coach, and mentor entertainment professionals to deliver exceptional experiences.
• Create a culture of creativity, energy, collaboration, and service excellence.
• Establish clear performance expectations and development plans for the team.
• Encourage innovation and continuous improvement across all entertainment offerings.

Commercial & Brand Partnership

• Manage entertainment budgets, ensuring effective resource allocation and cost control.
• Develop partnerships with artists, agencies, production partners, and creative suppliers.
• Support marketing initiatives through entertainment-led campaigns, events, and destination experiences.
• Collaborate with commercial teams to leverage entertainment as a key driver of guest attraction, satisfaction, and loyalty.
• Ensure all entertainment experiences reflect the positioning of Rixos Phu Quoc as a premium luxury destination.

Guest Experience & Innovation

• Champion creativity and innovation in delivering unforgettable guest moments.
• Develop programming that reflects international trends while incorporating local Vietnamese culture and experiences.
• Create memorable moments across day and evening entertainment offerings.
• Ensure entertainment contributes to overall guest satisfaction, brand loyalty, and resort reputation.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will demonstrate:

• Proven experience as a Director of Entertainment, Entertainment Manager, or senior entertainment leader within a luxury hotel, resort, cruise, theme park, or large-scale hospitality environment.
• Strong background in pre-opening projects, luxury resorts, lifestyle hospitality, or all-inclusive destinations.
• Experience designing and managing large-scale entertainment programmes and guest experiences.
• Strong understanding of international entertainment trends, live productions, events, and experiential hospitality.
• Proven ability to lead diverse creative teams and manage external partners.
• Strong organisational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Creative mindset with the ability to balance innovation, operational excellence, and commercial objectives.
• Experience in ultra all-inclusive resorts, family luxury resorts, or Asia-based hospitality markets would be highly advantageous.
