Job Summary

Palo Alto Networks is looking for an experienced and motivated solutions engineer with a passion for endpoint security controls that protect the workforce from attacks. This engineer will work closely with our sales team and ultimately be responsible for the technical “win” during the sales cycle. The Domain Consultant – Endpoint must demonstrate value during presentations, articulate technical challenges, pair with Palo Alto Networks solutions, and provide technical knowledge and experience to earn customer trust.


Palo Alto Networks Endpoint Privilege Manager (part of the Idira platform), a critical and foundational endpoint control addresses the underlying weaknesses of endpoint defenses against a privileged attacker and helps enterprises defend against these attacks.


Palo Alto Networks Domain Consultants work with the sales organization and are responsible for establishing the value of Palo Alto Networks products to prospective and current customers through demos, presentations, meetings, and proofs of concepts (POCs). Domain Consultants also help to create successful and happy customers by building relationships and technical trust with customers. The Domain Consultant is seen internally and externally as a technical expert on Palo Alto Networks products, as well as an industry expert in Identity and End Point security.

Responsibilities

  • Build and deliver product demonstrations and sales presentations to create excitement around Palo Alto Networks technology. Use your knowledge of various workforce operating systems and security concepts to understand and align with customer needs, matching their problems with Palo Alto Networks solutions.
  • Plan and execute POC evaluations of Palo Alto Networks products with prospective customers. Use your sales experience to position Palo Alto Networks’s value and differentiators to acquire the technical win.
  • Document customer interactions in Salesforce.
  • Collect and deliver constant feedback to Palo Alto Networks’s product management team to influence product direction and champion the voice of your customers.
  • Earn customer trust by demonstrating expertise in the area of endpoint and user security.
  • Present and evangelize during tradeshows and customer events.

    Qualifications

    Qualifications

    • Advanced working knowledge (5+ years) of 2 of 3 primary workstation/server operating systems (Windows, MacOS, Linux).
    • Prior experience working primarily with endpoint/workstation products or solutions in a sales capacity. 
    • Hands-on experience with endpoint and identity management technologies such as: Active Directory, Intune, SCCM/MECM, Jamf and endpoint troubleshooting.
    • Strong presentation skills and professional demeanor. Ability to articulate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
    • An understanding of security concepts and the development of security roles within organizations that meet functional, technical and regulatory requirements.
    • Ability to anticipate risks and devise solutions in the moment; adaptable.
    • Proven ability to run technical discovery, design solutions, deliver demonstrations, answer RFPs and support complex sales opportunities.
    • Travel as needed (<30%).
    • Experience navigating enterprise-scale sales cycles preferred.
    • Experience working with restAPIs with scripts or other no code/low code systems

    Compensation Disclosure

    The compensation offered for this position will depend on qualifications, experience, and work location. For candidates who receive an offer at the posted level, the starting base salary (for non-sales roles) or base salary + commission target (for sales/com-missioned roles) is expected to be the annual range listed below. The offered compensation may also include restricted stock units and a bonus. A description of our employee benefits may be found here.

    $198,000.00 - $273,000.00/yr
