This position will be responsible for preparing detailed working shop drawings and details for internal and/or external projects.  Through our collaborative and supportive culture, we are fueled to grow without limits and are praised for our talent and contribution to the team.   This Drafter/Designer role is working alongside an incredible group of people who are passionate about the work they do!   What we offer: ·       Competitive salary ·       Health benefits ·       401k w/company match ·       Paid time off and paid holidays ·       Health Club Membership (Specific Health Clubs) ·       Great environment where our motto is “Flynn Family Winning Together”! ·       On-going development through in-house Flynn University and eLearning courses   Responsibilities: ·       Transforms initial rough designs into working documents using computer aided design (AutoCAD). ·       Collaborates with design originators to resolve discrepancies and create multipurpose drawings (approval, engineering, installation). ·       Incorporates manufacture standards and Flynn's standards, to meet warranty requirements and provide all information for successful material installation.   ·       Creates original shop drawings in 3D model, and respective drawings using Revit & AutoCAD.  ·       Utilizes AutoCAD® to produce 2D drawings as directed. ·       Has the ability to create bill of materials for architectural sheet metal projects, and/or glazing projects.  ·       Uses of Microsoft® Word, excel, outlook, and Bluebeam as part of daily routine.   Qualifications ·       Minimum three years’ experience in drafting of commercial roofing and/or architectural metal projects greater than $50K and/or architectural glazing.  ·       Substantive experience in the domains of fabrication, installation and logistics. ·       Experience using Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam, office and enterprise software like Excel and MS Word. ·       Basic understanding of specifications and components  ·       Basic geometry, trigonometry, math & writing skills ·       Experience reading and understanding construction drawings ·       Knowledge of production methods for metal fabrication and/or glazing system fabrication ·       Ability to work simultaneously on multiple complex designs with the project team.  ·       Experience in high value Commercial Roofing, Architectural Metal, and/or Glazing projects.
