Job Description

BryceTech is seeking a DSCA Duty Desk Officer to support the National Guard Bureau (NGB) Domestic Operations (DOMOPS) mission. This position will provide operational support for Defense Support of Civil Authorities (DSCA) activities, including monitoring current operations, maintaining situational awareness, coordinating operational reporting, and supporting response activities during domestic incidents and emergencies.

The DSCA Duty Desk Officer will operate within a mission-focused current operations environment, supporting 24/7 operational awareness and coordination requirements. The position will monitor ongoing and emerging domestic events, synchronize information from multiple sources, prepare operational updates, and support communication between NGB, National Guard organizations, Department of Defense components, federal agencies, and other mission partners.

The ideal candidate will have experience supporting military operations, emergency management, operations centers, watch floors, or crisis response environments, with a strong understanding of DSCA processes and domestic response operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and maintain situational awareness of domestic operations, incidents, and emerging mission requirements
  • Support 24/7 current operations activities, including watch floor operations, operational tracking, and incident reporting
  • Receive, analyze, and disseminate operational information from military, federal, state, territorial, and emergency management partners
  • Prepare operational summaries, situation reports (SITREPs), briefings, and other mission update products
  • Track DSCA requests, operational activities, response actions, and mission status updates
  • Support coordination and communication between NGB, National Guard units, DoD organizations, and interagency partners
  • Identify emerging issues, operational impacts, and resource requirements and elevate information to appropriate leadership
  • Maintain accurate operational records, logs, and documentation of current events and mission activities
  • Support incident response coordination during domestic emergencies, disasters, and contingency operations
  • Assist with preparation and execution of operational briefings, update meetings, and leadership engagements
  • Support continuity operations, mission assurance, and operational readiness activities
  • Assist with exercise support, operational planning events, and after-action reviews
  • Provide operational input for improving procedures, processes, and response coordination activities
  • Support development and maintenance of standard operating procedures, desk guides, and operational checklists
  • Coordinate information flow across multiple stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate reporting

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Active Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility (TS/SCI)
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in emergency management, homeland security, national security, military studies, public administration, or related discipline
  • 7+ years of experience supporting military operations, emergency management, homeland defense, or disaster response missions
  • Experience supporting operations centers, watch floors, command centers, or similar mission environments
  • Experience developing operational reports, briefings, and situational awareness products
  • Understanding of Defense Support of Civil Authorities (DSCA) processes and domestic response operations
  • Experience coordinating with military organizations, government agencies, or emergency management partners
  • Ability to analyze information quickly and provide accurate operational updates in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior military experience, particularly within operations, plans, emergency management, or command center environments
  • Experience supporting National Guard Bureau, U.S. Northern Command (USNORTHCOM), Joint Staff, FEMA, DHS, or similar organizations
  • Experience serving as a Current Operations Officer, JOC Watch Officer, Battle Captain, Crisis Action Team member, or Emergency Operations Center staff member
  • Experience supporting large-scale domestic response operations, including natural disasters, civil emergencies, or national-level events
  • Familiarity with National Guard emergency response authorities and DSCA mission requirements
  • Experience supporting operational planning, exercises, and readiness assessments
  • Professional military education or equivalent operational training
